Shake-a-your-rump into the new year!

Once again the Odd Ball brings you a stellar line-up of DJs to make you wanna dance all night long.

Big Bang Odd Ball is pleased to welcome DJ Art Flick to the stage! DJ artflick has been playing the east side since the inception of the Bent parties in January 2006. As a restless sagittarius, she spins an eclectic mix from riot grrrl & political hip-hop to queer dark wave & electro. After three years of editing her big ol' trannie-dyke documentary She's a Boy I Knew, DJ artflick's New Year's Resolution is to hit the road on her '69 Vespa.

Ruggedly Handsome returns for her seventh Odd Ball! DJ Ruggedly Handsome is a lover of good songs with an affinity for girl bands, think The Slits not the Spice Girls. On occasion she has been known to take her musical cues from her feline companion. This Scorpio is very in touch with her feelings and has been bringing the dance party to your living rooms, bedrooms, libraries, lezzie bars, basements, and community centers since 2004.

And Odd Ball's very own Titz McGee. Most recently Titz DJ'ed a holiday dance party for a crowd of librarians---buns, readings glasses and cardigans were flying everywhere. In 2008 Titz hopes to exercise more, get her readings done for school and conquer Guitar Hero.

while i understand your reasoning for not selling advance tickets, i don't think it's a respectful way to deal with members of the community who are unable to stand in line for several hours to get it and still have the ability to enjoy the party. as it stands now, queers with ability issues simply can't attend. it's very disapointing.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your comment.

As with past Odd Balls we invite party-goers with ability issues to contact the Odd Ball prior to the party by sending an e-mail to oddball@michaelvsmith.com so that we can make arrangements for their entry to the party.

We can bring chairs out to put by the stairs at the front entry to the hall if they have trouble standing. For people who are not able to climb stairs we can arrange entry to the hall through the back entry way via a ramp.

Additionally, you will be happy to know that for the past three years of holding the Odd Ball parties we have always reserved two tables with chairs next to the stage specifically for the use of people with abilities issues.

Thank you for raising your concerns and please know that we take them very seriously. Odd Ball does its best to be an inclusive event and accommodate all members of the community.
