Woooooo-Hoooooo!

A great big Thank you! again to all of our volunteers and to all of the party-people that totally rocked last Sunday's Odd Ball! Without you we wouldn't have been able to brag that we hosted The. Best. Pride. Party. Ever!!!

Thank-you to those of you who have e-mailed us with feedback, here are some of the comments that we've received so far:

  • "You guys should do this every weekend! It was so much fun!!!" - Anne
  • "The folks the party attracted made for a perfect lefty, creative, queer, performer chemistry. I noted people dancing in the line for the bar, as well as in the bathroom. Everyone was smiling at each other, talking, laughing. It was great." - Gregory
  • "All I could think of all night was - this is just like prom night except that last weekend all the cheerleaders and football guys got killed in a horrible bus crash!" ~Rob

We encourage those who attended to send us feedback---please leave comments on the blog or send feedback to titzmcgee@yahoo.ca

Please stay tuned for our other events in the future. There is a Hallowe'en event in the works!

Mmmm...Tarty Flavour!

This Sunday's performance at the Odd Ball is a debut for Classic Karma. She met Little Miss Chievious in March at a Burlesque workshop and started thinking and preparing a performance, not knowing who it would be for, where it would be, or when! A background in Ballroom Dancing and loving to feel sexy has contributed to the creation of this performance with a friend who shares in the excitement of performance.

Classic Karma has a tarty flavor to her look and presence we hope you enjoy! Although this is her first burlesque performance, Little Miss Chievious is no new comer to the stage. She has been dancing since she could walk, and has performed hip hop, salsa, modern and ballet locally and internationally. Known for her love of the spotlight and her inclination towards exhibitionism, burlesque is as fitting as her thigh highs. Please contact her at nkolinsky@yahoo.ca forbookings.

All about the f-u-n!

Hot buns competition, Dance Off, Burlesque, Cheerleading, Dancing, Good Music, Excellent Decorations including a gigantic pink flamingo---as if you needed another reason to what is being touted as one of Vancouver's best and most exciting Pride parties ever! You won't want to miss The Odd Ball---THIS SUNDAY!!! Weeeeeeeeeeee!

Shake It! Shake It!

Keep your eyes peeled at this Sunday's Odd Ball for a sexy burlesque performance! Just another example of the whirling, twirling and hip-shaking fun you're sure to have at our Pride Dance Party!

This Lady is Amazing!

The Odd Ball is pleased to feature Tralala/Amber Dawn as one of its many performers on Sunday July 31st

Tralala/Amber Dawn is a writer, performer, and activist. For nearly a decade she‘s championed ethical porn and cabaret. Her personal mandate is to perform in five fundraisers a year, especially those benefiting sex workers, the trans/gender queer community, and other folks who have limited or no access to other funding options. For more information you can e-mail Tralala/Amber Dawn at: lady_tralala@yahoo.com

He Can Move!

The Odd Ball is pleased to feature a dance performance by Diego Maranan.

Diego, originally trained as a musician and a science geek, graduated from the Contemporary Dance program at SFU. Diego recently performed at the Dancing on the Edge festival this July. Upcoming performances include a movement project on personal responses to the second law of thermodynamics (www.secondlaw.tk), happening this August.
